Life’s a Jungle in the New Trailer for Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’

Not long after Dwayne Johnson took to social media to announce Disney’s Jungle Cruise will be hitting theaters and Disney+ with Premier Access on July 30th, the mega studio has decided to drop a new, exciting trailer filled to brim with CGI and quippy dialogue. We also get a sense of the film’s plot and some fun looking action sequences in this one. The one thing it needs more of are the dad-jokes we get from the ride! Check out the trailer below:

Per Disney, here’s a brief synopsis of the film:

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila — his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities — possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate — and mankind’s — hangs in the balance.

If there’s anything certain in the universe, it’s that The Rock + Jungle Anything = $$$$$ (look at both Jumanji movies, Rampage, and The Rundown). And since Jungle Cruise looks to have the same charm as all of those films, PLUS the added charm of Emily Blunt, I think we can expect some great things with this rollicking adventure!

Disney’s Jungle Cruise hits theaters and Disney+ with Premier Access on July 30!
